Network Outage - Update - Most systems are up now
Almost all systems are back up now. We are continuing to monitor the progress and check systems for any issues.
Network outage update
We have isolated one problem and are working on trying to get all systems working. Email is now working. Authentication to my.uvu.edu and other systems is still down.
Network outage continues - still trying to isolate the problem
We are still trying to isolate the problem in the network of the data center. No change in the status at this time. Next update will follow in 10 minutes or when ever there is a change. Unfortunately the issue appears to be somewhat complex.
Network Issues - Problems accessing system due to Network
We are currently experiencing some issues with the network in the data center making access to UVU systems on campus system inconsistent or impossible. Updates will follow. These issues began at approximately 3:41pm today. There was an earlier problem at 2:03 for a few minutes but that was thought to be resolved by 2:06pm

Great Utah Shakeout Complete
Great Utah ShakeOut Earthquake Drill 2016
(THIS UPDATE IS ONLY A TEST. IT'S PART OF THE
"GREAT UTAH SHAKEOUT" EARTHQUAKE DRILL.)
A MOCK 7.3 magnitude earthquake occurred at 10:15 a.m.
this morning. The epicenter was in north Utah County. Classes could have been
canceled and staff, faculty and students could be encouraged to leave the
campus as quickly as possible. Those who are injured are still being attended
to. If students are unable to stay in their apartments, there are a couple of
shelters being set up on campus to accommodate them. The locations will be
posted on this site shortly.
If you'd like to get your updates via Twitter or RSS,
posts from uvu.info will automatically feed to UVU
Emergency on Twitter and
the UVU Emergency RSS Feed.
The is an exercise message: Had this been a real
earthquake additional information could be accessed by looking at this website.
Thanks to the building marshalls for working with their floor captains to
determine extent of damage to the buildings and possible injuries. For your
information the Building Marshalls will not be reporting information to a
central location which will be reported to Orem City and Utah County Emergency
Operations Center (EOC). Again thanks for your participation today., This goes
a long way in helping the University prepare for such events.
